Your study abroad document checklist

Know what to gather before you start your university applications.

Start with the course’s document list

Use this as an organising checklist, then compare it with your university and scholarship instructions. Not every item is needed for every application. Keep clear scans and a separate copy of each submitted version.

The boxes below are a temporary checklist. They reset when you reload the page.

Check names, formats, and instructions

Make sure your name is consistent across documents. Follow file-size limits, accepted formats, and instructions for transcripts or references sent directly by an institution. Do not pay for translation, certification, or testing until you know what the provider accepts.

Keep admission and visa documents separate

Your university checklist is not a visa checklist. After reviewing your study options, use the relevant official immigration website for the current requirements for your own situation.

Continue your research

Check the destination and provider’s official instructions for your own course.
